a meticulously arranged grid of abstract glyphs or cosmic diagrams, rendered with delicate ink lines against a gradient wash of turquoise and green. At first glance, the work suggests a fusion of celestial cartography, atomic structure, and surrealist notation—blurring the boundary between the scientific and the mystical.

The repeated motif of elliptical orbits, directional vectors, and particle-like nodes evokes the language of particle physics, yet remains evocatively non-literal. This tension between recognizable form and imaginative abstraction is a hallmark of Pitout’s practice, where the metaphysical meets the methodical.

The colour gradient, shifting from sea blue to grass green, serves not only as a tranquil backdrop but subtly implies a horizon—perhaps gesturing toward the union of the terrestrial and the cosmic, the physical and the philosophical.
